North/Northwest Phoenix Arizona is an area of the city of Phoenix. While this part of Phoenix has no official separate status, it usually refers to the Urban Village Paradise Valley, North Mountain, Deer Valley, Desert View, and Happy Valley.

The Desert Botanical Garden has the largest variety of desert plants and cacti collection in the world.

There are over 180 golf courses in the area – both private and public.  The state of Arizona is home to 67 natural and human-made lakes and lots of boating.  The Valley of the Sun is also home to 23 Indian Reservations representing 21 Native American Tribes.
