Peoria, Arizona, is the sixth-largest city in the state. According to the 2010 census, the population is 154,065 and growing—the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners’ spring training home shares the Peoria Sports Complex. In 1999, the City of Peoria annexed most of the land up to and around Lake Pleasant Regional Park. The lake is the 2nd largest lake in Arizona – about a 15-20 minute drive for Peoria residents.
Peoria gained a world-class educational status by landing the Challenger Space Center of Arizona. In 2007, the city added to its cultural diversity by completing the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. You will find various shopping opportunities, great restaurants, entertainment, and nightlife, all located in and around the popular Arrowhead Towne Center Mall.
